**A note to the reader** Cassieda who wrote this literature oringonally wrote it for a Multi Player Online Text Game Called Gemstone III which is owned by Simutronics Inc. What you read here is exactally how it was in the Realm called Gemstone.**
You find yourself in a very large and EMPTY auditorium. You peer at the empty stage before you, your own breath seems to echo in the silence. You strain your ears as you hear a slightly audible feminine giggle coming from the side of the stage.
Keeping your eyes on the stage, you see a glint of gold flash on the side as a thin young woman with long golden hair pokes her head out from behind the curtain and steps shyly up to the front to greet you.
"Hello! Sorry about dragging you all the way out here," she giggles, "but I needed the practice. I'm hoping to perform in the Festival of Orfeo that is coming up at House Aspis. My name is Cassieda. The festival is open to everyone, but I do happen to be a bard. An unlikely one, maybe, but still a bard"
"You're probably thinking, 'A shy bard???'" Cass giggles and nods to you, "I know.. it's odd, but I'm working on it."
"Hmmm... about my family... I'm much younger than most of them, so unfortunately I haven't spent a lot of time with them. My other sister Dayla has totally spoiled me, with the help of Deli and my cousin Seleyne. I guess they thought I should 'look' more like a bard since I don't act much like one. They've all gone broke supplying me with clothes and weapons they found appropriate for me." Cass turns and shows you her emerald green vest. You can see that's it's pocketed. She then moves a bit closer and looks as if she's going to tell you a secret. Her voice is lowered as if she doesn't want anyone else to know. "The shirt they got me is my favorite..." Cass smiles as she shows you a billowy white silk poet's shirt with a sparkling emerald lyre-shaped clasp. "As pretty as the shirt is... it has a secret..." As Cass smiles, you notice an almost evil sparkle in her eyes. Lowering her voice even more, she says, "It opens and closes. She giggles. "And I have been known to use that fact simply for its shock value."
"My friends are great and very supportive of me. They are a lot like family in a lot of ways. First, there is Cardaghn, an ambitious young rogue that I find quite attractive." Cass winks at you. "Then there is Daemenspawn, a warrior with the heart of a bard. He'll be competing in the festival too, I hope. He's given me a lot of help and support in my bardly pursuits. Canthor has been a close friend of the family since Gramma Sibil and is still always there for us."
"Well it appears my 10 minutes are up. I hope I didn't bore you too badly." Cass winks and reaches for the clasp on her shirt, then guides her hand into a wave as she turns to leave. She disappears to the right of the stage curtain. You see her poke her head out. "Hehe... you thought I was gonna open it didn't you?" Cass grins and winks and disappears once again.
